Last Will and Testament of Clement King of Loddiswell

 
 
 
          In the name of God Amen I Clement King of Loddiswell Mill within the parish of Loddiswell in the County of Devon Miller do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)

First I so desire to be decently buried in convenient time after my decease by my Executor hereinafter named whom I do direct to pay all my just debts and Funeral Charges as soon after as he possibly can and subject thereto (?) 

I do give and devise unto my son Thomas King All that my Messuages and Tenements with the Appurtenances called Loddiswell Mills Mill Hill by Slade Tucking Mill Marshes and (?)  Laster (or Caster)  Field or Persons Plott Laying at or near Loddiswell Mill in the Parishes of Loddiswell and West Alvington aforesaid and all my Right Title and Interest therein To hold the same Tenements and premises with the appurtenances unto and to the only use and behoof of my said son Thomas King his Heirs and Assigns forever

And I do give and bequeath unto my sons Clement King and John King the sum of one hundred and fifty Pounds Sterling each, to my son George King Two Marshes called (?)  Deep Marshes laying near Loddiswell Mills in the Parish of Loddiswell aforesaid with the appurtenances thereto and to my son Henry King Two fields called Greystones near Loddiswell Mills in the Parish of Loddiswell aforesaid with the xxxx appurtenances and the sum of Fifty Pounds Sterling And I do give unto my beloved wife Aviss King the sum of Twenty Pounds Sterling yearly so long as the said Aviss King  shall live and the ??**** *** a King or thing   of a sort in the House if she and my Executor Thomas King should be pleased to live xxx together so long as she shall live it is my wish which  under  and I  direct   my Executor to pay to them respectively at the end of Twelve Callandar Months next after my decease and with all my Pecuniary Legacies I charge my freehold Estates if my Chattels shall be sufficient to pay them and I do declare that the Legacies by me before given to my Children Clement John George and Henry King and my well beloved wife Aviss King

And All the rest and residue of my Goods and Chattels Personal and Testamentary Effects whatsoever charged with my debts Legacies and Funeral Charges I do hereby give and bequeath unto my said son Thomas King his Executors Administrators and Assigns absolutely and do name and appoint him to be the sole Executor of this my Will, Hereby revoking all other wills which I have heretofore made As Witness my Hand and Seal the Thirteenth day of May One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty two

 

Established and declared by the said Testating Clement King
his last Will and Testament in presence of us who 
 Clement King
????   and in presence of him and of each other
names of witnessed thereto
